What we do

Indian Sandstone Patios Sutton Coldfield

Sandstone comes in genuine variation — buff, grey, autumn browns, the warm mixed tones of a Raj blend — and no two packs are identical. We open the packs and mix from all of them as we lay, so the colour runs evenly across the whole patio rather than in blocks. It is a small thing that makes an enormous difference to the finished job.

Natural stone needs laying properly. It goes on a full wet mortar bed, not on dabs, with the slabs primed on the back so they bond and do not lift or stain. We point the joints after the bed has gone off, to a colour chosen with you. Every quote is free and follows a proper survey.

Transform your outdoor living space with our premium patio services. Backed by years of expertise and a dedicated team of specialists, we excel in crafting stunning and functional patio designs tailored to your preferences.

Why choose Indian Sandstone

  • Natural variationNo two slabs are identical, so it never reads as a printed pattern the way some manufactured paving can.
  • Warm tonesBuffs, greys and autumn blends that sit comfortably against brick and planting.
  • Riven, grippy surfaceThe cleft face gives natural texture underfoot.
  • Circle and feature optionsCut kits let a patio have a focal point rather than being a rectangle.

Suits traditional and cottage gardens, and anywhere a natural material is wanted over a manufactured one.

Materials

Natural Stone Materials

Indian sandstone is a natural, riven stone that weathers beautifully and suits both period and modern homes. It comes in a range of colours — these are the ones we lay most often. Being natural stone, tones vary from slab to slab, which is what gives a finished patio its depth.

  • Raj Green

Greens, greys and rust with golden flecks — a mellow, traditional look beside lawns and planting.

  • Kandla Grey

Even, cool blue-greys — the popular choice for a clean, contemporary patio.

  • Autumn Brown

Warm browns with grey and the odd maroon slab — grounded and rustic.

  • Fossil Mint

Soft cream with pink and bronze fossil markings — light and bright for shaded gardens.

  • Rippon Buff

Golden buff banded with amber and grey — warm and full of character.
